Animals Staying Alive, Inc. ("ASA," "we," "us") is a Texas charitable foundation that helps pay veterinary bills for animals facing urgent, life-threatening emergencies. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

- Contact information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.

- Assistance request details: information about your animal and its medical condition, the name and contact information of your veterinary facility, written estimates and invoices, and anything you choose to tell us about your circumstances.

- Donation information: the amount and date of your gift and your contact details. Card and bank details are handled by our payment processors; we never see or store full payment card numbers.

- Website and message data: pages visited and general traffic statistics collected through Google Analytics, and the content and timestamps of emails, calls, voicemails, and text messages you exchange with us.

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

- To review, process, and respond to requests for veterinary assistance.

- To contact your veterinary facility and pay it directly when a grant is approved.

- To acknowledge donations and provide tax receipts.

- To answer your questions by email, phone, or text message.

- To meet our legal, accounting, and IRS reporting obligations as a private foundation.

We do not use your personal information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

WHO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with:

- The veterinary clinic, specialist, or animal hospital involved in your request, so that treatment and payment can be arranged.

- Service providers that operate our website, email, telephone, text messaging, payment processing, and accounting systems, and only to the extent needed to perform those services for us.

- Government agencies, auditors, or professional advisors when required by law or by our reporting obligations.

SMS consent is not shared with third parties. Mobile information and text messaging opt-in data will not be sold, rented, or shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

TEXT MESSAGING (SMS) TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These are conversational and transactional messages, for example replies to your questions, requests for missing paperwork such as a veterinary estimate, status updates on a grant decision, and payment confirmations. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
